Product Description

The so-called paper sizing agent must have both hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups, so that it can be evenly retained on the fiber surface by itself or with the help of other retention aids, so that the hydrophilic group combines with the fiber and the hydrophobic group turns to the outside of the fiber to reduce the surface free energy between the fiber and the air, change the contact angle of the liquid on the fiber surface, and achieve the purpose of sizing. Most papers need sizing. Sizing can improve the writing and printing quality of paper.

The sizing agent commonly used in the papermaking industry is mainly aluminum sulfate. When aluminum sulfate is used as a sizing agent, it can be divided into two types: internal sizing agent and surface sizing agent. It should be noted that when producing white paper, iron-free aluminum sulfate products are mostly used.

In the papermaking industry, the uses of aluminum sulfate can usually be divided into many types, and it can be mainly used as a papermaking additive, retention and filtration aid, paper strengthening agent, water treatment agent, etc. When we use it, since iron-free aluminum sulfate does not contain iron, it will not have an adverse effect on the whiteness of the paper when used in white paper production.

1. Retention and filtration aid for papermaking pulp: Iron-free aluminum sulfate has excellent retention and filtration effects on papermaking pulp.

2. Paper strengthening agent: After using this product, it will not have an adverse effect on the color of white paper, and the various properties of white paper have also been significantly improved, so it is very suitable for use in high-quality paper production.

3. After adding iron-free aluminum sulfate to papermaking pulp, it often reduces the impact on the pH value of pulp.

4. This product is applicable to a wider pH range in the papermaking sizing process. Moreover, iron-free aluminum sulfate is suitable for sizing in acidic and neutral environments. It is less corrosive to the papermaking system and the wastewater generated is easier to handle; while iron-containing aluminum sulfate is only suitable for sizing in acidic environments, and iron-containing aluminum sulfate often has a certain impact on paper quality and equipment.
